CYNTHIA GARRISON DIES …

US sources are reporting the death on Monday, January 22nd of CYNTHIA GARRISON, long-serving member of the THREE DEGREES. She was 64.

Ms Garrison  joined the group in 1989, long after their hit making days were over. Alongside Helen Scott and Valerie Holiday, this was the longest running line-up of the group. The trio toured world-wide and were particularly popular in the UK and Europe. She left in 2011 for health reasons and was replaced by Freddi Poole.

Valerie Holiday posted: “Her personality made her a great friend and work colleague! We kept in touch thru the years, we laughed at each other’s stories, shared our thoughts and problems. I’m going to miss my friend, but she no longer is suffering, and for that I am glad. Condolences to her family, know that she was loved.”
