Most jazz-funk fans and collectors have fond memories of the mighty CRUSADERS and the music of WILTON FELDER, JOE SAMPLE, STIX HOOPER and WAYNE HENDERSON still resonates today.
UK based French tenor saxophonist and Crusader fan, OLI ARLOTTO has just put together a new band called THE NEW CRUSADERS. The line up consists of ARLOTTO along with FRED SCHMID on alto sax, NICK MEIER on guitar, JEAN BERTHON on bass and WESLEY GIBBENS on drums. The band will be performing a very special show at London’s Floridita on Wednesday 25th September.
Tickets are priced at just £10 and THE NEW CRUSADERS promise to recreate the magic of the original band with a repertoire that will include classics like ‘Street Life’, ‘Put It Where You Want It’ and ‘Soul Shadow’.
