Been a while since we’ve heard from US smooth vocal group METROPOLIS but we’ve learned from their PR people that they’re currently putting together a new album…. ‘Soul Archives Volume 1’. Now that sounds like it might be a compilation of old material but the lead single – just out – sounds new to us. The tune is ‘Cruise’ and that title kind of says it all…. yes, it’s a gentle cruising, summer vibe sort of cut. Its USP though is the impeccable harmony work…a classic, old school group harmony sound. It’s out now and we look forward to the parent album.
