Been a while since we’ve had some brand new music from REEL PEOPLE (Oli Lazarus, Mike Patto and Toni Economides) but we’re delighted to announce that there’s a whole new album (their first for over 10 years) on the way very soon. It going to be called ‘Love2’ and features input from top vocalists like Raheem Devaughn, Muhsinah, Chantae Cann, Michael Champion, Paula, Eric Roberson, Arrested Development front man, Speech Dayne Jordan and Jill Rock Jones.
Over the last few months most of the set’s tracks have been leaked out with the final “leak” being ‘Everything’s So Crazy’ which is fronted by Atlanta soulstress Jill Rock Jones. It’s an insistent, contemporary soul groove which the People’s PR crew tell us is “languid and spacious”. They also add that the ‘Love2’ album “marks a further powerful evolution of the Reel People sound. Weaving contemporary R&B sensibilities into the collective’s classic grooved-out flow, embracing the out-and-out euphoria of love but offers an entirely unique voice. “ Sounds good!
