
Leeds-born Grammy winner, CORINNE BAILEY RAE, hasn’t released a solo album since 2010’s ‘The Sea’ but now returns with an eagerly-anticipated third long player in the shape of ‘The Heart Speaks In Whispers,’ which will be available via Virgin EMI on May 13th.
Among the musicians that appear on the album alongside Bailey Rae are bassists Marcus Miller, Esperanza Spalding and Pino Palladino plus legendary funk/R&B drummer James Gadson. Recorded in Leeds and Los Angeles, the 12-song set was helmed by the singer with producer Steve Brown, whom Bailey Rae had previously collaborated with on ‘The Sea.’
The album is preceded by a new single, ‘Been To The Moon,’ a mesmeric slice of ethereal ‘future soul’ boasting a killer chorus. You can watch the video here:
