THE TEE SEE CONNECTION is a Ohio funky instrumental band with a cult following. Made up of renegade members of The Jive Turkeys (Rob Houk – drums, Matt Amburgy – keys, Terry Cole – bass), they’ve been around for a while. Indeed their 2012 single, ‘Black Mamba’, has quite a following.
If you have a penchant for a tough Hammond-led, contemporary take on soul-jazz, you will need to now that the Connection have a vinyl single lined up for May release on Colemine Records – you’ve surely noticed the Terry Cole connection!
The disc pairs two in-demand tunes. The A-side, ‘Skyline Chili Churner’ is an organ burner with funky bass and breakbeat style drums while the B-side, ‘Queen City’ is a straight boomer!
The vinyl’s not out till May, but the Colemine site is now taking pre-orders!
