Though there are few details to hand, it seems that famed US soul/jazz session drummer and actor, CLIFTON “FOU FOU” EDDIE has died. He was aged 78.
Eddie came from Chicago and worked the studios there. He played on many Dells’ recordings and worked with Patti Labelle and Jerry Butler.
Eddie later moved to California where, in addition to continuing to play drums, he acted in a number of movies, including the 2017 Oscar winning ‘La La Land.’
