STUART McCALLUM is a Manchester guitarist who’s about to release his second solo album, ‘City’ on Naim Jazz. Assisting him on the 8 tracker are Robin Mullarkey, bass; Sean Foran, Rhodes; Richard Spaven drums, synths and electronics. Violinist Emma Sweeney guests on one track while the LP features four different vocalists – JP Cooper, Sharlene Hector, Fridolijn Van Poll and Sophie Barker. Their various inputs add variety to what is essentially a bleak, cinematic electronic soundcape.
