Latest single out of Philly revival label, SOCIETY HILL, sees producer Butch Ingram hook up again with Canadian singer, CHERRILL RAE.
Cherrill is a music biz veteran who can sweetly switch genres but she tells us that soul has always been her first musical love and she features plenty of soul sounds in her always in-demand live shows. Followers of the Society Hill sound will have fond memories of her version of the Temptations’ ‘Since I Lost My Baby’.
Her new cut – ‘The First Kiss’ – is another smooth, sophisticated ballad with a production that’s right on Society Hill’s contemporary take on the Philly sound. This one is sweet and soulful and to keep the old schoolers really happy, it even features and emotional (all too-short) monologue. Out now!
