One of the most popular cuts on popular guitar man DAVE MASCALL’S ‘Acid Lounge Vol 5’ LP was the breezy romp ‘Carnival Latino’. Dave and his people feel that the tune is a perfect vibe for the days when the mercury’s rising, the prosecco’s flowing and the Pringles are popping (he knows how to have a good time!!!). So young Dave’s remixed the tune – taking the tempo up to 127bpm and adding a fresh, cool bass line. It evokes the flavours of artists like Azymuth, Tom Browne and David Bendeth. Helping Dave deliver is his usual singer, Julia Quinn who sweetly adds some Latin jazz scat… great stuff!
