ROSIE FRATER-TAYLOR is a young British singer/songwriter and guitarist. Her 2021 self-produced album ‘Bloom’ garnered in excess of 3 million streams and was nominated at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards. Right now she’s preparing the release of a new long player which is due via Cooking Vinyl in February.
Grab a taster of it via Rosie’s new released single ‘Heartbeat.’ Which is released 14th December. It’s an odd tune in as much as it’s not soul, jazz or funk but it does have a soulful undertow – a sort of melding of rock, pop, new school jazz, folk and neo-soul. Quite a cocktail! The vocal is delicate – appropriate to the theme of self-reflection, vulnerability and anger while the guitar solo is intriguing and insistent.
