SISTER PEARL is a UK music project shared between acclaimed singer-songwriter Tasita D’Mour and producer Joey Silvero. Their mission statement is to create a soulful dance sound based around Calypso/Afrohouse vibes. To that end we’ve enjoyed their vibrant hip-swinging single, ‘Dancing Time’.
The duo now follow through with another percussive, Afrobeats bumper – ‘The Calling’. The release package comes in a variety of mixes – Sweden’s Opolopo injects a smooth jazzy vibe complete with catchy brass stabs, funky keys and a glitter ball bass groove; Mannix offers a NuDisco flavour and Greece’s T.Markakis delivers a feel-good soulful house affair.
