MISS C-LINE (C stands for Carolina, we know little else!) is a Neo-Soul singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Switzerland. She debuted in 2017 with her ‘The One’ album and since then her career has started to gain momentum.
She cites her influences as Erykah Badu, The Roots & Robert Glasper and you can hear elements of all three (and more) on her new single, ‘Burnout’. Helping Miss C to deliver are US musician Casey Benjamin who adds atmospheric vocoder and Jay Jules who performs a monologue in which he philosophizes around the theme burnout. He says “I have to eat when I’m hungry but not enjoy it. But if I don’t enjoy it, I burn myself out”. Interesting!
