The late legendary soul troubadour, BOBBY WOMACK, who passed away at the age of 70 on June 27th, has a revamped and updated version of his autobiography (co-written with author Robert Ashton) published on 7th August by John Blake Publishing.
Originally titled ‘My Autobiography – Midnight Mover’ when it was published in hardback form in 2006, the book is now re-titled ‘My Story 1944-1914‘ and makes it first appearance as a paperback (it’s also available in eBook form).
Priced at £8.99 and appended with an up-to-date discography, it’s a vivid memoir that finds Womack’s talking candidly about his troubled personal life and long battle with drug addiction.
Womack’s final studio album, ‘The Best Is Yet To Come,’ is also due for release soon.
Look out for a detailed review of ‘My Story’ soon at SJF.
