YOLANDA PARKER is a US soul singer who works in and around the Washington DC area. She recently teamed up with writer/producer Raymond Barton and their collaborative EP turned plenty of heads and hearts.
For her latest offering Yolanda is again with Barton (whose CV includes work with people of the calibre of Toni Braxton, Jada Pinkett Smith, Tamar Braxton, Starpoint and Maysa) and the result is a lovely, laid back modern soul tune, ‘Everything You Do Blows My Mind’. It’s sweet and simple and that simplicity only adds to the impact. Ms P is patently a great soul stylist and Barton’s production (especially the harmonic chorus and the rumbling bass line) is right on point. Out now
