We’re always told that two heads are better than one… so when two music stalwarts get together you can expect something special…. and that’s what you get with ‘Better Together’ on which UK instrumentalist (CHRIS) KINGDON teams up with Geneva-based, Texas-born soul man RUDI WILBURN (yes he of the Barry White style voice).
The result is an odd sound – and not obviously appealing. On it Kingdon’s keys and vibes drive the groove forward in a captivating and insistent manner while Wilburns’ vocal offers just the right amount of understatement… this one will grow on you!
The tune is officially released tomorrow (March 8th) but it’s already all over the internet soul stations.
