Last summer the (maybe) oddly named LES IMPRIMÉS made plenty of friends with the album ‘Reverie’. It wasn’t classic or conventional soul, but a music with a definite soulful feel and lots of attraction. We learned that despite the name, Les Imprimés isn’t a French band; rather it’s the alter ego of Danish musician MORTEN MARTENS. He was born, raised, and works in Kristiansand, Norway and he prefers to keep a low profile despite winning the Norwegian equivalent of the Grammy.
You can catch up with Mr M via a brand new single – a breezy, blue-eyed soul affair, ‘With You’. It’s a cool cut and like the ‘Reverie’ album, quite charming. Out now.
