KARLOS EDWARDS is a UK musician who, like many, began his music odyssey in Gospel. As a youngster, though, the sounds of Stevie and Earth Wind and Fire drew him, to secular music and soon his skills as percussionist/drummer found him working with people like Aztec Camera, Robert Palmer, Take That, Olly Murs, Will Young, Loose Ends, Beverly Knight, Mark Ronson, the Brand New Heavies and many more!
Karlos also makes his own music and this summer his cover of Wonder’s Summer Soft’ (with a lovely vocal from Everett Peters) won lots of plaudits. Our man’s latest single is a complex and imaginative, ‘With You’ which features a sweet, soulful vocal from Elle Cato. The track is further enhanced by some magical trumpet/flugelhorn courtesy of Bryan Corbett. Between them the musicians craft a lazy, jazz-soul, summery meander that has hints of Charles Stepney in the intriguing production. Out now via Digital Jukebox Records
