B.K.W.H is the alter ego of UK soul vocalist Beckwith who’s probably best known for his outings ‘Everyday’ and, of course, ‘Can’t Beat The Weekend’ – his tongue in cheek riposte to Canadian singer, songwriter, record producer, and actor, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, aka “Weekend”, who’d had a little pop at the UK singer!
If you want more of that infectious, poppy UK take on contemporary soul and R&B , you may want to check out B.K.W.H’s latest album – imaginatively titled ‘Beckwith’! It’s a 9 tracker and includes most of our man’s big tunes, including two mixes of ‘Weekend’.
Amongst the new songs is a sweet ‘All My Love’ while maybe the cleverest cut is ‘Soulful Woman’ – a litany of praise to the UK female soul contingent! Guests on the album include Ghostface Killah, Big Noyd and Kool G Rap who give the LP a hip-hop flavour. Out now!
