LATRESE BUSH is an American soulstress who we first heard via a track on Expansion’s 2016 ‘Luxury Soul’ album. Her tune, ‘The Best’, was a slinky, smooth ballad but on the same album we got to hear her duet with Noel Gourdin, ‘Because Of You’… a cut that rightly hit #1 on all the credible UK soul charts.
Ms Bush, who’s worked with people like Jennifer Holiday, Gloria Gaynor and Justin Bieber (who!) is currently promoting two new remixes of ‘Because Of You’. Both new tweaks retain the dulcet tones of Noel Gourdin and, beat wise, there’s not a lot to choose between the Daz-I-Kue Boogie mix and the Daz-I-Kue Soul Bounce mix. Both have the potential to be modern room faves over the upcoming festive season!
And if you dig the Latrese Bush soul sound then she’s also got another new tune on offer and ‘Love I Can Sing about’ is every bit as good as ‘Because Of You’. Written by Ruben Stoddard, the cut has a real old school, weekender feel to it… optimistic and uplifting…. potential floor filler!
