‘BBQ House’ is the latest single from the intriguingly named DAVE MACALL’S ACID LOUNGE feat SOLID SAX. In essence, Dave is a mighty fine and in demand guitar man while “Solid Sax” is jazzer, Ian Thompson. Between them they’ve created something unusual but really infectious. You see ‘BBQ House’ is soulful house with a jazz undertow – a rhythm track of 124 bpm allowing the two protagonists to trade jazz licks!
The track’s title? Well, it seems the duo had been invited to play at a BBQ at the house of Zero Radio founder Ian Reading and this is one of the tune’s they came up with!
Sounds plausible to me and if you like your music a touch quirky it’s well worth investigating…. available now as a download!
