‘By The Bay’ is the lead single from German smooth jazz multi instrumentalist KONSTANTIN KLASHTORNI’S latest album ‘7X7’. The sprightly cut is classic smooth jazz. Easy-on-the-ear, it makes no demands other than to get your head nodding or your foot (gently) tapping. Its svelteness is reflected right through the rest of the 12 tracker and fans of the smooth jazz genre will know what to expect with tunes titles like ‘Timeless’, ‘Reflections Over Water’ and ‘Late Nights With U’. Yes, laid back, gently rhythmic, chilled out in places and ultra polished throughout.
No explanation why the album’s called ‘7X7’ but we do know that it’s released on 14th February – yes Valentine’s Day – and Mr KK’s birthday that very day.. ah sweet!
