For his latest outing JARROD LAWSON has linked up with fellow Portland musicians drummer TYRONE HENDRIX (the marquee name on the disc) and trumpeter FARNELL NEWTON for a lazy, jazzy neo/nu soul /funk joint, ‘The Battle’. The cut is very much a collaborative effort with Hendrix driving things along in a tight and tough fashion.
