BAHAMIAN DANCE MIX….

alt

Last November we brought to your attention an album from a German band – The BAHAMA SOUL CLUB. Their long player ‘Havana 58’ blended all kinds of everything….soul, jazz, funk, blues, bossa nova, afro, Caribbean music and more! As the title suggests the album was homage to the musical hot bed that was Cuba in the 50s – the world of jet setting, and gay abandon!

If you liked the album or indeed if you dig all things Latin you may like to know that the set has just been rereleased in remix format – so to add the above cocktail you can now append house, funky disco and something called boogaloo-hip-twist!

Amongst the remixers on the album are Club Des Belugas, Newcastle’s own Smoove, Jack & Jointz and Opolopo.

The BAHAMA SOUL CLUB; ‘Havana Remixes” is out now on Buyu Records
