BACK ON LANGLEY AVENUE….

We last heard from Chicago soul man/guitarist  RANDY HALL via his ‘Turn’t Up Tonight’ collaboration with Terri Green. Before that we enjoyed his ‘Bring It On Home’ from last year.

New music is always welcome from the cult soul man who after a spell with Pleasure, released some collectable 80’s albums (notably ‘I Belong To You’ and ‘Love You Like A Stranger’) and also worked with jazz legend Miles Davis. So his new single, ‘Langley Avenue’ is well worth investigating.

However, it’s a little different. You’ll know that Randy is an accomplished guitarist and ‘Langley Avenue’ is a showcase for his fret board mastery. It’s a lazy, feel good, summery, Latin tinged instrumental – shades  of Santana in a gentle mood. And the  title? Apparently Langley Avenue is the street in Chicago where Mr H grew up. Now you know!

RANDY HALL Langley Avenue’ released August 12th via Ranvera Record.
