We’ve already enjoyed one single – a throwback sound – ‘You Got Soul’ – a cocktail of many of the influences we’ve just listed! A second “taster” single has just become available – and it’s another old school flavour – a rollicking, good times upbeat blues inflected ‘USA’ . It’s a loving tribute to his homeland and though this might be an odd suggestion, it sounds like a hybrid of Chuck Berry and Bruce Springsteen! Maybe it’s the whimsical lyrics and the rhyming alongside the images of big Western skies – hard to say why, but it’s sure intriguing and another reason to look forward to the full album!
