MT JONES is a new name to us but having been introduced to his latest single, ‘In My Arms’ we needed to know more. There’s not a lot out there on him but we have discovered that he hails from Europe’s music capital – Liverpool! We also learned that he’s inspired by the soul of the 60s and 70s – but you’d know that by listening to ‘In My Arms’ which is actually his third single. Like a lot of contemporary soul – think the Sextones and Durand Jones, the track is totally contemporary but its roots are clearly deep in soul’s golden age! It’s a good ‘un.
MT Jones – a name to watch out for and more proof that there’s more to Liverpool than the Fab 4 – but we knew that anyway!
