ASHLEY; IN THE MIX….

Over the past couple of years Philly soul man ASHLEY SCOTT has entertained us with some lovely modern soul. The first (I think) was  ‘Dance The Night Away’ which underlined his  musical pedigree, background and education. Ashley  is the nephew of the Three Degrees’ Helen Scott and he studied at Howard University under tutors like Grady Tate and Webster Lewis! He was also a member of the famed Howard University Gospel Choir and since graduating, he’s shared stages with people like Jean Carn, Vivian Green, Bilal, Marcus Johnson and Take 6 and  young Ashley has also worked with Will Downing (he was on his business team).

His last offering was  a super, summery groove – ‘Don’t Throw Our Love Away’ which is now back with us in a lovely new mix that cranks up that special summer vibe.  The mix team behind the new tweak is Steel Vybe Productions ((Chris Forman and Damon “Mr. Dizzyfingers” Bennett) who cleverly call their re-tooling “Earl’s Young Bawl Disco edit” – a clear nod to Philly’s music heritage! And it really does the City of Brotherly Love proud….a lovely, dance confection.

ASHLEY SCOTT; ‘Don’t Throw Our Love Away’ Steel Vybe released commercially 2nd July.
