Hot on the heels of his recent Hil St Soul remix, NIGEL LOWIS has just reimagined the KATHY KOSINS/BOB BALDWIN August collaboration , ‘Let’s Rewind’. A lovely song, the original was a gentle, relaxing piece on which Baldwin said he tried to meld the softer sounds of Motown and Philly into a smooth jazz groove. For this remix Lowis cranks up the tempo a touch and garnishes the track with the Philly flavours that he loves and is known for. Indeed the label have dubbed the mix “The Philly Mix”.
As with his recent mix on ‘A Feeling So Beautiful’, here you have a whole new vibe. Kathy’s vocal is still warm and mature adding to the real feel good nature of the track. Out now.
