The wonderful ANN NESBY is currently doing big business Stateside with her latest album ‘Living My Life’. The busy ex Sounds Of Blackness lead has also teamed up with top house head DJ SPEN for an incendiary song that is the lead single from Spen’s upcoming own album, ‘Transition’.
The tune is simply called ‘I Feel’ and it recalls the best of Ann and Spen’s work for the Basement Boys and Code Red. As ever, there’s a generous number of remixes on the cut. Sahib Muhammad’s original is a real room rouser; two Rhemi (Neil Pierce and Ziggy Funk) mixes are warmer and slicker; while Spen’s personal tweak is a disco delight!
Whatever mix you go for, you’ll once again be amazed by Ms Nesby’s soaring, soulful, Gospel-reared vocals… she sure feels that spirit!
