South Carolina-born neo-soul singer, ANGIE STONE, returns with her sixth solo album, ‘Rich Girl,’ in December. It’s the follow up to her 2009 one-off long player for Stax/Concord, ‘Unexpected,’ and is her first recording for SRR – aka Saguaro Road Rhythm – a label that recently issued new albums by Smokey Robinson and Brandy & Ray J.
Stone’s self-produced set has fifteen tracks, including the summer 2012 single, ‘Do What You Gotta Do.’ Says the singer in relation to her new project: “I wrote this album from a real place. It’s not about money, it’s about being rich in everything you do.”
Look out for a review soon at SJF.
