Earlier this year DOME RECORDS renewed its association with ANGELA JOHNSON. You’ll remember that Dome first worked with her way back in 2001 and since then, over six albums, numerous singles and some quality duets, Ms J has become a soul connoisseurs’ favourite.
For the reunion, Dome teamed Angela with label mainstays FULL FLAVA and together they delivered a soulful cover of Pittsburgh band, Family Of Eve’s 1980 Jeree Records outing ‘I Wanna Be Loved By You’. The recording brought this old war horse back to life!
Well there’s plenty of life left in the tune as Dome issue a fab new mix of the track courtesy of current hot, hot mixers Micky More and Andy Tee. The duo take the track into soulful house territory but keep the emphasis on the “soul” part to the tag! It’s catchy, uplifting and joyous! Out now!
