… AND ALL THAT JAZZ

Hot on the heels of jazz streaming service “jazzed” (launched 2020) (see our recent news item), Jazz FM has announced the launch of its own brand-new premium subscription online radio service. In what Jazz FM believe is an industry first, users will be able to skip songs on live radio plus enjoy an ad-free listening environment 24/7 with lots of added extras.

They say that in simple terms, there is lots more music on the new Premium service for subscribers and instead of ads they’ll hear another song. If they choose to skip a song, there is a special list of tracks ready and available for them to skip to. When that song has finished, the listener will continue in the live stream, from the beginning of the latest song that has been started on-air. All this will happen automatically and in a very seamless way. So, there you go!

Subscribers will also get access to a 20 exclusive online stations, offering  a huge variety of music from ‘Piano Jazz’ to ‘Best Live Jazz Performances’. Add to this over 30 on-demand shows, documentaries, artist interviews and special programming ready to be unlocked, including the station’s landmark series ‘The Music That Made Me’ which looks at the influences and important songs in the lives of superstar musicians including Dee Dee Bridgewater,  Norah Jones, Gregory Porter, Jamie Cullum and more.

Speaking about the new launch, Jazz FM’s Content Director Nick Pitts said, “With this exciting new service, we’ve reinvented radio giving listeners the chance to enjoy Jazz FM uninterrupted, with even more control and flexibility.”

Jazz FM Premium is available across web, app and supported smart speakers for a free 7-day trial followed by a payment of £3.99 a month.  For more information go to www.jazzfm.com
