US music sites are reporting the recent death of in-demand soul keyboardist ALLAN “GRIP” SMITH. No details are forthcoming and the news was posted on the SOS Band’s social media. Smith had been working with the band.
Born in Pittsburgh, Smith worked with a variety of soul acts – people like Keith Sweat, TLC , SWV, Xscape, Dru Hill and, of course, the SOS Band.
