JASON PETERSON DELAIRE is a singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Minneapolis. Jason is a member of the famous Peterson Minnesotan musical family – which numbers people like his late grandmother, “jazz master”, Jeanne Arland, his mother Linda, uncles Billy, Ricky, Paul (one time Prince band member) and his aunt, Patty Peterson… all, by the way, inductees in the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame.
In his career Jason has worked with people like Donny Osmond, Michael Bolton, Richard Marx, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Oleta Adams, Bobby Brown, and Alexander O’Neal. Right now (or as the pandemic allows) he is touring internationally with Michael Bolton as a saxophonist, keyboardist, and vocalist.
Before that tour kicks in again, our man is busy promoting his latest single, a gorgeous, heartfelt paean to community, universal love and respect, ‘Love Can Heal The World’. Jason has called on some big soul names to help him deliver his message. ‘Love Can Heal The World’ features a mighty vocal triumvirate… Grammy nominee Oleta Adams, R&B icon Rockie Robbins and international smooth jazz/soul star Jarrod Lawson. Their voices blend beautifully with Jason’s and are in turn supported by bvs from The Steeles, the Capri Glee! Choir and the Peterson Family.
Jason says that the song was inspired by the civil unrest in Minneapolis during the summer of 2020. This song is a response to his sister, Vanessa Peterson DeLaire asking, “What can we do to help our city heal?”. Jason’s reply was simple… “There is power that can heal this world, and that power is love!” And in ‘Love Can Heal The World’ you can feel all the love and humanity … it’s out now and comes highly recommended.
