Savvy collectors will know that LACK OF AFRO is the musical alter ego of multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer ADAM GIBBONS and Adam’s currently working on a new album, ‘Square One’ – due for September release.
In modern publicity fashion, he’s just released a single to draw attention to the upcoming long player and if the rest of the set matches the soulful quality of this single, ‘All Night’, then ‘Square One’ is something to really look forward to.
‘All Night’ features sparkling vocals form JACK TYSON-CHARLES, tight beats and catchy hooks and proves that sometimes there’s no substitute for experience. Adam’s been in the game for 15 years and has seven albums to his credit already and all that experiences plus a recent visit to the legendary FAME studios down in Muscle Shoals shine through on ‘All Night’.
Adams says: “’All Night’ is probably one of my favourite tracks that I’ve ever done. Jack and I hadn’t worked together for nearly 10 years, but when we got together in the studio we were right back there and the magic happened. Musically it’s certainly right up there with my best work and I’m really proud of the production. Sometimes, certain tracks just tick all those boxes and this is one of those”.
