ALL CAUGHT UP!

We’ve been tracking the progress of UK songbird JOANNA COOKE for the last several months. She hails from that soul hotbed – the Southwest (Joss Stone, Jo Harman anyone?) and she grew up enjoying her father’s blues records. A self-taught pianist, Joanna has already worked with people like Rag N Bone Man and Paloma Faith and has three EPs and a quartet of singles already under her belt… the last two – ‘Good Lover’ and ‘Like A Lover’ being particularly impressive. (see recent news items).

Joanna now hits us with another powerful single, ‘Caught Up’ . The message in the music deals with comparison, envy and the importance of gratitude when carving one’s own path in life…  basically a conversation between positive and negative ‘self-talk’ and the building soundscape and Ms Cooke’s emotive performance perfectly match those sentiments.

The song (and indeed ‘Good Lover’ and ‘Like A Lover’) features on Joanna’s ‘Kaleidoscope’ EP
