
The North’s premier soul club – Newcastle’s famed HOOCHIE COOCHIE – has a tasty menu of top attractions lined up for the Christmas and New Year period….
Friday 28th and Saturday 29th November sees Dimitri From Paris playing the venue. The acclaimed French DJ maestro will be playing great soul and dance from the last four decades. We’re told tickets are selling fast as they are for the following Friday when Joey Negro takes to the decks for another night of soulful dance.
The music’s live on Friday 12th December when UK soul and funk band, Brother Strut, take to the Hoochie Coochie stage. The band is made up of some of the UK’s top session players who between them have played with people like Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Amy Winehosue, The Temptations and many more.
Newcastle’s own Smoove & Turrell are in the Hoochie House on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th December returning to celebrate the release of their 3rd studio album ‘Broken Toys’. The BIG, BIG Christmas show happens on Tuesday 23rd, when the club hosts the King Bee Christmas Party.
Attractions booked in for the early part of 2015 include Horse Meat Disco, Jocelyn Brown Kenny Thomas, Los Charlys Orchestra and Azymuth.
