Veteran soul and funksters, THE NEW MASTERSOUNDS are currently putting the finishing touches to their latest album – ‘Old School’ (due out on March 28th.) They announced its imminent release last month with a quirky instrumental single, ‘Do The Sausage Roll’ which they now follow with an equally infectious, slice of soul-jazz, ‘Smoothie’ .
Wild and up-tempo and driven by a rattling tambourine, this one’s a little reminiscent of the early James Taylor Quartet. It’s released March 15th via One Note Records.
