The UK’s newest soulstress is all set to release her first big label single. The lady in question is Southampton’s CHARLEY MACAULAY and her feisty, brassy 45 is called ‘Love Sick’.
The 19 year old has worked with people like Anastacia, Omar and Ruby Tuner and she already has a self-financed EP under her belt. The music on that mini-album brought her to the attention of Acid Jazz’s Eddie Piller who promptly signed young Charley to a three album deal , with the first long player due very soon. In the meantime ‘Love Sick’ paves the way.
The tune is a hard hitting three and half minutes worth of old school soul with a punchy and brassy backing.
