Last autumn Italian composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, STEFANO DE SANTIS made waves with his energy-packed four track EP, ‘Unreachable Galaxy’. One of the focus cuts was ‘Sick With Rhyme’ which (as the title suggested) featured some slick (not “sick”) and quick rhyming from an unnamed (at least on my copy) female.
Now that very track has won remix status from its parent label, Ramrock. On the original Stefano played Rhodes, piano, clavinet, Prophet 5, Moog, Solina String Ensemble, Juno 6 and drum programming. On this fresh 2023 tweak , Ramrock’s own North Street West trio turn on their rhythmic charms, with Ashley Beedle providing all the drum programming, key wizard Darren Morris firing up the keyboards and instrumentation, and Jo Wallace on arrangement duty.
