JEF KEARNS is a Canadian flautist whose mission statement is to show that the flute can be just as soulful as what he calls “the down and dirt sax”. Test his assertion via his latest single, ‘Hazy’. The groove features his flighty flute in a sort of fluid vocal duet with singer Karen Jewels. It’s lush and melodic and the beats are tight. File under interesting and intriguing. It’ll be good to go from June 25th.
