THE SOUL SEEDERS are a hard working French soul and funk band who impressed with their last single – the brisk Northern flavoured ‘Gentleman Jealous Type’. We were told that the song was from an imminent album – ‘Honey’ – due in October.
While we wait, the Seeders have launched another tasty single, ‘A Brighter Shade’. This one’s a little less frantic and features guest vocal input from US soul man, CARLTON JUMEL SMITH who’s worked regularly with band before. His gritty tones work beautifully with the band’s main lead voice – LUCIE HADDAD. This one’s a very pleasing soul duet – we could say “luminous”! Whatever, it bodes well for the album – the single’s out now!
