In response to customer demand Ace Records have just released two of their recent CD successes in glorious vinyl. They are GEORGIE FAME'S 'The Mod Years' and DORIS DUKE'S 'I'm A Loser'. The former is a wonderful testament to FAME'S pioneering jazz and soul work in the sixties. The LP features great versions of stuff like 'The Monkey Time' and 'Sweet Thing'. The DORIS DUKE album is different altogether - a stirring tale of loss and despair. Hailed as a deep soul classic on initial release, it remains essential fare.
